Ductless Mini-Split Installation in Central New Jersey

A ductless mini-split is the answer for the room your central system never reaches — a converted attic, a sunroom, an addition, a garage workshop. It is also a heat pump, which means it heats as well as cools.

Work is performed under NJ HVAC License #19HC00702000, out of our Hazlet and Bridgewater offices. We pull the permits, keep the process seamless, and make sure the job gets done right.

Mini-Split Work We Handle

Single-Zone Systems

Mini Split Electrical Install Bedroom — Spartan Home Pros, Central New Jersey

One outdoor unit, one indoor head. The straightforward answer for an addition, converted space or a room that is always the wrong temperature.

Multi-Zone Systems

One outdoor unit feeding several heads on independent controls, so bedrooms are not fighting over one thermostat.

Line Set and Electrical Hook-Up

HVAC — Spartan Home Pros, Central New Jersey

Line set routing, condensate management, dedicated circuit and disconnect — the electrical side is where we started and it shows in the finished work.

Garage, Workshop and Attic Conditioning

Gas furnace basement — Spartan Home Pros, Central New Jersey

Spaces the ducted system was never designed to serve, conditioned without extending duct into places it does not want to go.

What Decides the Cost of a Mini-Split

Mini-split pricing depends on how many heads, how far the line set has to run, and whether the panel can carry the new circuit. We quote after seeing the space and the panel.

NUMBER OF ZONES

Each indoor head adds equipment, line set and labor. Multi-zone is not simply single-zone multiplied, but it is not free either.

LINE SET DISTANCE AND ROUTE

A head on the wall directly behind the outdoor unit is a fraction of the work of a run through finished space to the far side of a house.

ELECTRICAL CAPACITY

Every system needs a dedicated circuit and a disconnect. If the panel is full, that becomes part of the conversation before anything is ordered.

CONDENSATE HANDLING

Gravity drain where possible, condensate pump where not. Getting this wrong is what stains ceilings a year later.

COSMETICS

Line-hide covering, interior soffit routing and mounting height all affect labor. Some people care a great deal and some do not.

Mini-Split Equipment We Install

We install serviceable, widely supported ductless equipment. Parts availability matters more on inverter equipment than on almost anything else in the house.

  • Fujitsu — Single and multi-zone ductless systems with a strong low-temperature heating record.
  • Bosch — Inverter-driven ductless and light commercial equipment where efficiency is the priority.

Mini-Split Questions, Answered

Does a mini-split heat as well as cool?

Yes. A ductless mini-split is a heat pump, and modern units hold useful heating capacity well below freezing. For many New Jersey homes it becomes the primary heat in the space it serves.

Do I need one head per room?

One head conditions one open space well. It will not push conditioned air around a corner or through a closed door. Multi-zone systems use one outdoor unit with several heads on independent controls.

Does a mini-split need its own electrical circuit?

Yes. Every system needs a dedicated circuit sized to the equipment and a disconnect at the outdoor unit. We handle that in house rather than subcontracting the electrical side.

Are they noisy?

The indoor head is quiet — usually quieter than a refrigerator. The outdoor unit makes noise, which is why placement relative to bedrooms and neighbors is worth a conversation before we mount it.

Can you hide the line set?

Largely. Line-hide covering tidies exterior runs and interior routing through soffits or closets is often possible. Fully concealed runs cost more, and we will tell you what is realiztic for your walls.

Do mini-splits need permits?

Yes. Installation requires a permit and inspection, including for the electrical circuit. We file it and handle the permit as part of the job.
